Matt Ebbs

Matt Ebbs is the President of Ebbs Sports Management Ltd. and a lawyer with the firm of Charron Langlois LLP. Matt attended St.- Michael's College (U of T.) from 1984 to 1987, and obtained his honors degree in 1998 from Carleton University in International Relations. He then graduated from University of Ottawa Law School in 1991 and was called to the Bar in Ontario in 1993. Matt also obtained his M.B.A. from Queen's University in 2004. Matt comes from a long line of local lawyers. His grandfather, John P. Ebbs, who played for the 1906 Ottawa Senators, practiced law in Ottawa until 1965. His father, John B. Ebbs, has been a lawyer in the local community for 60 years. Matt practices in the areas of Real Estate, Wills and Estates as well as Corporate and Sports Law. Matt is a family advisor who advises hockey players and athletes worldwide.

Advisory Services and Player Representation

Ebbs Sports Management Ltd. provides both advisory services and player representation. An advisor is defined as an expert who gives advice. As a sports lawyer with over seventeen (17) years of experience I’m able to provide a professional level of administrative and contractual expertise at all levels from the NHL’s Collective Bargaining Agreement, NCAA Scholarships and Major Junior Agreements. Our team has all the necessary hockey experience to assist hockey players at all levels in regard to development and career choices. I’m also a father of three (3) young hockey players, and as such I’m keenly aware of the trials and tribulations that each family must face throughout the hockey development process.

Player Development

Ebbs Sports Management Ltd. has partnered with Pro Sports Training to provide the best in athletic development. Our goal is to help mould our athletes into elite leaders both on and off the ice.
